Nicoletta developed a passion for writing at an early age, exploring poetry, short stories, and articles. Her work has been featured in academic journals and online publications in Cyprus, North America, the UK, and Australia. This love of language led her to pursue a postgraduate degree in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow. Her dissertation, Eleftheriou Street (Freedom Street), is a short-story collection inspired by the tragic events of 1974 in her home country of Cyprus.
At the heart of her imagination lies a deep fascination with childhood and its psychological landscapes. She is currently conducting research at the University of Cyprus, with an emphasis on children’s voices in 19th and 20th century literature. Her research focuses on themes of repression, trauma, healing, and the restoration of innocence.
